How to achieve accurate measurement without damaging the oxide insulation layer or other impurities on the surface of the tested connector, the IRC_ 60512-2-1 standard has very strict definition. This standard is also widely used by major automobile manufacturers.

The standard strictly requires that the open circuit test voltage should not be greater than 20mVdc or 20mvppkk, and the test load current should not be greater than 100mA.

Generally, the contact resistance of the vehicle connector is in x mΩ levels. For example, the contact resistance of one connector PIN is required to be less than 5mΩ, and the Vdrop is less than 0.5mV when tested with 100mA. General customers require that the test value error should not be greater than 0.1%, that is, the total measurement error should be 0.5 μ V.
