Due to industry standards or special quality control requirements, some products may not only have high and low temperature aging tests, but also requiring communication and measurement during temperature conditions from -45℃ to 125℃ in the environment camber.
The challenge: Lots of system wiring leads to maintenance and complex EMI problems. For example, if one product needs to measure 20 signals, and with 2 channels of communication, the wiring of a single product is about 30 leads plus the power supply and ground wire. Normally a high and low temperature chamber has dozens of products under testing. In this way, an 80 products testing condition will have about 2400 (30 wires x 80 products) wires. Considering the chamber size, each single wires normally > 2000mm. With such huge wiring, not only EMI problem cannot be solved, but also maintenance becomes very difficult.
In this case, FineTooling Technology will provide a custom function control board to power on the product in the high and low temperature environment test chamber, and conduct parameters testing, and finally transmit it to the computer host outside the temperature Chamber by data-bus. This solution usually can reduce a system with thousands of connections to dozens of connections. This approach has many advantages:
l Avoid the interference with signal lines
l Reduce the connection hence the reliability of system being improved.
l Each product works and be monitored independently, the abnormal products will easy be isolated to avoid the impact on other testing products
l The internal mechanical parts in contact with the product will use special anti-static treatment process, it has 5+ years under high-low temperature condition.
